TeamDance Illinois is an incorporated, non-profit organization founded in 2005 and dedicated to supporting all youth non-school & school (including Junior High), Junior Varsity and High School sponsored Dance and Flag teams through education, evaluation and competition. It was founded on the simple premise that the coach is our customer! TDI offers two distinct divisions: TDI Competition and TDI Academy, both staff by dedicated volunteers! This year TDI offers 28 regionals that culminate in a Varsity State Championship and JV Elite. Last year our membership grew to 255 teams, 150 Coach Association members, 71 Judiciary Association members and 90 Student Council members. Please CONTACT US...COMMUNICATION is our top priority!
TDI recognizes the distinct and important roles that both dance and flag teams serve in Illinois schools. We honor these separate purposes by offering two divisions of TDI Competition and TDI Academy programs: TDI Dance and TDI Flag. TDI offers Memberships for the following groups:

Our Mission: TEAMDance Illinois’ mission is to become Illinois’ premiere dance team and flag corps alliance by providing student performers the opportunity to participate in dance, flag, and drill competition, to receive technical and artistic training through educational seminars and technical clinics, and to obtain scholarships and individual awards in recognition of excellence.
Philosophy: TDI operates on the philosophy that the coach is our customer: that when you support and promote the coach, both the coach and team succeed. TDI also recognizes the distinct and important roles that both dance and flag teams serve in Illinois schools. We honor these separate purposes by offering three divisions of competition: TDI Dance, TDI Flag and TeamDance Youth (TDY). In the 2010 season, TDI will pilot a new Independant division for out of state and Illinois non-school high school aged teams who compete concurrently with their TDY teams.
About Us: TEAMDance Illinois (TDI) was incorporated on October 31, 2005 as an Illinois not-for-profit corporation. Its founders boast over 150 years of combined experience as performers, choreographers, coaches and judges in dance and flag. TDI’s founding board of directors brings a wealth of career experience in education, marketing, business, non-profit management, and law to ensure the sound financial and administrative management of the organization.
TDI is recognized by the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) and conducts its competitive and educational programs according the IHSA and NFHS Spirit Rules, yet seeks, rather than being punitive, being pro-active in helping student performers avoid safety violations. TDI’s competition series is patterned after IHSA sporting tournaments.
Recent Activities: TDI's 2008-2009 Season boosted 27 regionals and a State Championship Contest that included 173 team performances. This year TDI is experiencing tremendous growth and will offer 28 regionals, the continuation of the TeamDance Youth division includes 14 regionals and a Final Frenzy contest, a Judge Certirfication program, Coach Certification program, ASEP Certification courses, 4th annual Fall Conference, Totally Intense Summer and Fall dance classes, fundraising efforts for Breast Cancer Awareness Foundation, Mr. TDI, TDI Coaches Advisory Board and the growth of TDI's Student Advisory Board. We are also excited about the inaugural season of the TeamDance Collegiate division, which will be hosting the TeamDance Collegiate Midwest Championship at Elgin Community College on January 9, 2010.
